Greetings GP Lions & Families!

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! We hope you had a restful summer and are ready to begin a new academic school year filled with exciting challenges and remarkable learning experiences!

To our returning Lions, we extend a warm and heartfelt welcome back! Your dedication to learning is a true inspiration, and we are thrilled to continue supporting your educational journey. To our new Lions and their families, we extend an equally warm welcome, and we are excited to have you become a part of our Graham Park community.

Safety is our number one priority. As our superintendent, Dr. McDade, has shared communication regarding the new screening process, our school will have this device in place on the first day of school; however, it will not be in use until the first week of September. This will allow students and all stakeholders to become familiar with the device. Please ensure you are not purchasing any three-ring notebooks, eye glass cases, umbrellas, metal water bottles or any other metal items. These metal devices will delay the process of your student’s arrival time to class.

As we begin this academic year, we are excited to share our school goals that will enhance the overall learning experience. From our academic programs to enriching extracurricular activities, we strive to cater to the diverse interests and talents of our students.

In addition to academic excellence, we emphasize the importance of character development and instilling core values such as integrity, respect, and empathy. We believe that by fostering a sense of community and mutual respect, we can create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and appreciated.

Parental involvement plays a crucial role in a student's success, and we encourage all parents to actively participate in their student’s education journey. We look forward to your families joining our Family Engagement Nights that will include a variety of engaging activities to foster a strong home-school partnership.

In closing, we look forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences. Together, let us embrace the challenges and celebrate the successes. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

“Let us make this academic year an unforgettable and transformative year and Win with Excellence!”

Yours in education,

Principal Walker
