Welcome to Graham Health and Physical  Education

The Prince William County Health and Physical Education curriculum provides students with a consistent program that addresses the growing number of today's health issues and functional fitness.  Students are provided with the essential knowledge and skills necessary to develop healthy lifestyles, make informed decisions about their health choices, and how physical fitness can be attained and sustained.

Dear Parents and Students,

We hope all is well and everyone is making the best out of these strange and extraordinary times.  Firstly, we wanted to thank everyone for their patience in receiving information.  I also want to thank the parents and students who have used this time to revisit quarter 3 assignments and submit missing work.

Moving forward with Health and Physical Education;

Below is listed some key points from the information that was provided to us.  Keep in mind that as we move forward, policies and procedures may be adjusted.

  • Moving forward teachers will provide 90 minutes worth of work/activity/material each week
  • PE Instruction time is set for Monday 1:30 to 3. Video and assignments will be on our website. Be on a look out for Teams video with your teacher.
  • None of this material is mandatory and will not show up in the gradebook
  • The third quarter will end April 24.  All missing assignments must be submitted by the end of the day Thursday April 23th.
  • Fourth quarter will run from April 27 through the end of the year.  This quarter will remain ungraded.
  • Students should be encouraged to complete previous missing assignments from the third quarter
  • Students who have NHI’s for assessments should reach out directly to their teacher for an alternate assignment
  • Teachers will be available via virtual office hours for 90 minutes a week.  For each PE teacher you will be able to communicate to them through email at anytime.  Office hours for the PE department are Tuesday from 10 to 11:30. 6th grade 10-10:30, 7th grade 10:30-11, & 8th grade 11-11:30.

Again, I hope all is well and everyone is taking care of their needs.  Feel free to reach out if you need clarification or have additional questions or feedback regarding the information you just received.
